Our room! Note the privacy of the shower and toilet in the back left corner! Luckily there are blinds to cover the glass |

Monday morning and it's raining. |
So whilst contemplating what to do on a rainy Bali day Luke was browsing some road rules for Bali, which he decided to look up after observing traffic on our transfer from the airport. Some of the more interesting ones are: Police waving and blowing whistles may be ignored however the policeman with a machine gun must be obeyed. If you injure a pedestrian you must pick him up and transfer him to hospital. traffic lights are to be ignored as drivers find them an inconvenience of having to slow down, red and green both mean keep going. a one way sign is not a restriction, it is quite clear one can only go one direction at a time so you may go in one direction or the other but not both. the sidewalk is not necessarily for pedestrians but a further extension of the main road and should be used whenever the flow of the main road is deemed too slow, as far as pedestrians go it is generally agreed that they have feet, let them run and school children are particularly expendable. lane markings are colorful yellow and white markings which are a hearty welcome to road users, they have no other function. Passing; it is an insult to be passed, the slower less powerful your vehicle, the greater the effort to avoid being overtaken. The horn; the louder and more frequently it is sounded the greater the invisible energy barrier protecting the vehicles inhabitants. accidents, rare, usually the result of a malfunctioning horn! never leave more than a centimeter between your front bumper and the rear of the next vehicle, it's just not done! The main rule to remember; is that ALL Balinese think they are the only one on the road and therefore don't need any rules!!
We're sticking to walking along the beach, and taxis with english speaking drivers!!
Hahahahahahaha this is hilarious but sooooo true
