So Luke and I had dinner at the Holiday Inn as neither of us felt much like wandering too far this arvo. All you can eat pasta which is put together and cooked by their chef after you select what you want, plus a salad, plus desert, plus a drink, for 2 $33....
I have been amazed by the courtesy shown by every one from the flight crew on Garuda's airplane to the porters vying for your trade at the airport, Lucky who picked us up from the airport and thought it was cool that his name was almost the same as Luke and told us what must be his favorite tourist joke at least 4 times..."you feeling sweaty and hot?....That how you know you in Bali" HA ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....  He also explained how "Bali money is good currency, but with too many zeros... If to work out currency in dollar, just remove 4 zero, be careful of using currency cos there is 10000, 100000, 1000000 rupiah notes and too many zero, very confusing, make sure count zero before using money". and he's right, if you don't count the zeros first it would be really easy to hand over 100000 instead of 10000, the difference being a whole $9!!  And the staff at the Holiday Inn have been incredibly helpful. There was no hassles to them at all to make up another room with 2 beds for us, which Luke and I both are intensely grateful for!!
